A guy comes to my door about 6 pm, and he's a fast talking smoothie. But actually pretty funny and entertaining, so I let him give his spiel. He says he's from Chicago which is where I'm from, so we bond on that. In fact, I'm really starting to like this guy... until he starts his magazine spiel, telling me that proceeds will go to whatever charity in the world I choose, and how he gets points from people talking to him, and he gets paid for the points, and what? I'm like, "So how exactly does this magazine subscription work?" And the guy gets furious, telling me I'm a liar for being nice to him before, accusing me of not trusting him and stomping off in a huff. He ends his tirade with calling me a queer. I guess he wasn't so nice after all?
